HÉRITAGE
In 2010, we decided to pay tribute to the various owners who have succeeded at the head of Château LAFITTE since 1763. To this end, we took advantage of the sublime 2010 vintage to create this cuvée limited and numbered to 13,000 bottles. HERITAGE seems to be the best of LAFITTE in terms of concentration and finesse while respecting the typicity of its terroir. For this, we have produced this cuvée based on 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon harvested in small quantities from the entire Château LAFITTE vineyard.
The wine is placed in Bordeaux barrels for its alcoholic and malolactic fermentation followed by aging for 16 to 18 months. We have also taken special care in the dressing of this bottle. The label presents the coat of arms of the MENGIN family, associated with Château LAFITTE since Juliette MENGIN took over the estate in 1969. The bottle is a heritage bottle, heavier and more elegant. Château LAFITTE, vintage HERITAGE vintage 2018 will only be available in wooden cases of 12 bottles or 6 flat bottles personalized with the family coat of arms.
We hope you will enjoy our efforts in producing this limited series, a concentrate of LAFITTE. This magnificent cuvée is the worthy heir to 250 years when the various owners have put all their efforts into creating a unique wine. Today we are proud to pay tribute to them and to offer you this cuvée in memory of our HERITAGE.
Very beautiful presentation in a deep garnet color with purple edges.
At first nose, the wine remains discreet but then opens with aromas of black cherries accompanied by
notes of oriental spices and blond tobacco.
A very beautiful structure characterizes this vintage.
It is both fleshy, charming and of great length.
A wine to keep in the pure style of the great Bordeaux wines.

The wine is adorned with a magnificent dark color with slightly amber reflections.
The nose presents notes of mocha and blond tobacco. It then opens with aromas of morello cherries and a camphor note. Smoothness and freshness are the main characteristics of this cuvée. The structure of this wine is perfectly coated.
The finish is all the longer than it is greedy, in large part due to its beautiful acidity.
A wine with a very good hold that can be enjoyed now or kept for a few more years in the cellar.
